With the completion of phase two carport installation, USA Park in Jacksonville Florida now hosts 443 covered parking spaces servicing travelers at the Jacksonville international airport.

Customers can now have the option to upgrade to carport parking available for long and short term.

Dikeou Realty selected a flat roof twin box beam design in order to remain consistent with other US Park locations throughout the United States.

The flat top style carports were constructed using galvanized steel mini pile foundation and posts in order to minimized footing spoils and simplify the installation process. Twin box beam headers fabricated from two 14 gage galvanized steel and 20 gage deep rib panels were used as the roofing component.

In addition to covered parking, Carport Structures designed, fabricated and installed a 50′ x 68′ entry canopy.

The X frame column was used in order to provide a full cantilever roof structure for both single depth and head to head parking. The solar carports when finished will be fitted with a REC 220 solar panel and provide approximately 145kw.

This site characteristic required that the carport roofs to be stepped in order to accommodate the sloping grade. Flat top carports were selected, all steel components were galvanized to provide a maintenance free end product and mini pile foundation were used rather than traditional concrete pier style.
