September 2010 our crew finished a job in Mays Landing, NJ where they have built a 125 KW solar carport at Atlantic County Jail. We used sharp 240 modules with level structure with 10 degree fixed tilt solar racking.
Here’s some pictures!
Our field crews are just finishing up in Newark NJ where they are erecting a 563 KW elevated solar structure at Camden Elementary School. The system consists of two solar carports or elevated solar area structures carrying approximately 2011 ET 280 Solar panels at a 10 degree fixed tilt in a louvered arrangment.
Here is a link to a conceptual model of this type of structure.

This 28′ x 147′ Even Gable roof carport roof stands 14′ tall and was designed with a ladder column type in order to provide more room for angle parking. The photos show one of the Carport Structures installation crews at work erecting the structure.
Repeat Customer, Vanguard Energy Partners recently completed the Installation of this 84.24 Kw elevated solar, roof mounted system.
The structural steel package was designed to connect to existing building structure at column location with a span grid of 40′ x 25′ in order to minimize additional load impact to existing structure.
The elevated solar roof mount pv system was developed and installed by Vanguard Energy partners , engineered and fabricated by Carport Structures Corp.

The recently commissioned Freightliner M2 is the newest addition to the Carport Structures fleet. The bed rack has been configured with adjustable pick outriggers to allow for easy access to standard height carports as well as taller canopies and elevated solar structures.
The M2 is completely outfitted and can easily mobilize a crew of 5 anywhere in the U.S.
Designed in partnership with Vanguard Energy Partners the structural steel package consists of hot rolled shapes and cold formed light gage components in order to provide and custom prefabricated structure and solar racking system that would take full advantage of the existing walk ways in order to eliminate the need for additional foundations. The elevated solar shade structure “solar carport” provided the necessary square footage for the installation of the 334 kw PV system.
Solar project developed and erected by Vanguard Energy Partners.
Structural steel engineered and fabricated by Carport Structures Corp.
In 2008 Carport Structures Corporation in alliance with NorAm Service Group and Koerber Construction, completed the rebuild / renovation of the 45,000 sq ft galvanizing facility. Challenges included the designing of an entirely new roof structure that would utilize existing columns as well as a complex work schedule that would allow for continued production for the galvanizer.
Services Provided include : design, engineering, detailing, dismantle & demolition, fabrication and erection.
Duration of Construction: 45 days.
